Down 1.6lbs this week! So exciting! And Jen is down AGAIN!!! Go team :)
5.5K run after work today.
Food:
B- oats and choc. chips (2)
L- hummus sandwich (2), cottage cheese (1), yogurt/cereal (2)
S- motivate bar (4)
D- J's mom's bday cake and ice cream (6???) then tomato soup (3)
S- Combos (6??), fruitbites (1)
Food couldn't be more random but I went for a run right after work and we were supposed to go for cake after dinner. I didn't have time to make dinner so we went for cake right away! Hey, whatever works, right??
Points aren't as bad as I thought but maybe I underestimated the cake?? Who knows!

WAY TO GO!!! You rockin' runner!! You are going to have those 5lbs gone before you know it!!!! YAY!!!!!!
I don't think you underestimated on the cake... I *think* the avg slice of cake (with filling and frosting) is like 5pts? And yours probably wasn't that big. And I think a scoop of ice cream is like 2...
I'm with you. We need to have some sort of challenge at Easter... what will help us? Making sure we track everything that goes in our mouths that weekend? Only allowing ourselves one treat a day? What's your biggest challenge? For me, it's if I eat 1 thing bad then I figure I've blown my day and I go CRAZY eating everything (that's why I'm going to try not to eat anything bad for me)...
What's your biggest challenge? How do you think we can kick the Easter Bunny's butt??
On to next week... more great results!!!
1 treat a day it is (unless we feel really strong and have zero treats!). we will have to 'weight' out our options and make that 1 treat worth it!!
As for alcohol (which my family doesn't tend to consume, so i'm lucky there)... maybe have lighter drinks? vodka and diet pops? or really nurse your drinks slowly and maybe that will cut down on how many you have?
EXERCISE! Good plan!! THAT will be my challenge... I will likely be out of town from Friday til Monday... 4 days without exercise (3 actually, I can jog here on Friday before I head out). Hmmmm... I am going to have to come up with a plan!!!
I love it! Our challenge is really just an all around callenge to succeed!
we'll pick 1 treat a day to have...
we'll limit alcohol (through lighter alcohol, maybe non-alcoholic drinks in between alcohol drinks)...
we'll get activity in 2/4 days!
I'm definitely devoting a post to this challenge... we're going to stay strong and firm and NOT gain any weight over easter!!!
I must admit... I'm feeling good about it!!! Thank you :) :) :)
Agreed! Totally doable!
I have to figure out the most likely way to get my activity in on saturday and/or sunday... if i can escape for a brisk walk through the woods by myself with my ipod that would be great, but others will likely want to walk with me... or i could take home my biggest loser cardio and try to find a quiet spot in the den or basement to do it... and play wii on top of it all...
it is doable, i just need to make sure I have plans in place!
Maybe kristen would let me ride her bike (she has her racing bike set up in the basement... she trains on it while watching movies down there!).... hmmm, i bet she would let me!
okay... definitely need to come up with more firm exercise plans... but i'll do it!!! we'll be soooo happy when we don't gain weight!
I replied on my post... but I'll paste it here too!
Don't be silly Tara... you weren't mean in the LEAST!!!! You are totally right and I know you were just looking out (we are good at doing that for each other!). I actually didn't know sugar is good to have after a long jog... I will keep that in mind!!
Thanks for the encouragement... I hope things calm down enough for you to enjoy one of our favourite TV nights tonight!!!
PS - I will ALWAYS love you :)
